Student Sustainability Network
The Student Sustainability Network was started through the Student Sustainability Center (SSC) in 2015 as a network of students representing different sustainability-focused groups on campus. We define sustainability as improving human equity, environmental vitality, and economic well-being. Our purpose is to create more cross-collaboration between groups and individuals on campus with the same goals in mind.
I became the Student Sustainability Network Chair as a junior for the 2016-17 school year. As this was only the second year that the network had officially been in place, I changed the structure many times throughout the year as I figured out what worked best for people. During my time there, the group currently existed as a Facebook group, an email listserv, and two meetings a term. I stayed in this position for the 2017-18 school year and continued working on making this network as useful as possible for student groups. |
